I would take a Benadryl and 1/2 hr to an hour later I would get into a very HOT bath. And just relax and let the heat of the water soke into my skin. When the benadryl would start working. I would get sleepy. And I'd get out/dry off/go to bed/ whamoooo I was asleep. Usually I wouldn't have any problems falling asleep. >> Thanks sooooooooo much I am going to try that tonight .....Last night i tossed and turned so much i hate RLS and I also have it in my arms when it gets really bad so I really do appreciate it HUgsssssssss Jodi
Guest guest
the reason you find Benadryl helps you is because it is the main ingredient in most over the counter sleep aids.. it is the same diphenhyramine<sp>.... if you are having what I call twitching of the limbs which I get the drug Imipiramine is used to help that. stress can also make the twitching worse... the other night my entire body lifted from a twitch.. Just passing on what helps me. Angel Hugs aka Spark

Guest guest
My doctor prescribed neurotin400mg and klonopin 1.mg at bedtime for the restless legs,twitching,etc.. I know it helps me alot because before my husband use to tell me that when I was sleeping my legs would actually kick out (as if a bolt of electricity went thru me) Sometimes it would actually wake me up.. So far both those meds are helping (no complaints from hubby anymore,ha)....
