Guest guest
I just got the results last night from my neuro about my blood tests. My thyroid is fine, I knew it was. Can't blame the weight gain on that one, darn!!!! My vitamin D was very low, knew that one too. I don't drink milk very often, don't eat cheese, unless its on a pizza or a burger. I sometimes eat yogurt. She told me I needed to get out into the sun!!! LOL!!!! Yeah right, in 95 degree weather? I don't think 2 seconds of sun is going to help my vitamin D go up. She is sending me a prescription for Vitamin D pills and then I have to be retested in 8 weeks to make sure that my level is normal, whatever that is and then I have to make sure it stays there. Does anyone know what Vitamin D has to do with MS? I also told her about the pain in my thigh from where I injected the Copaxone and she said to skip that for a week but that I would have to eventually inject there so as not to break donw the fatty tissue in the other sites. She also suspected it may be in part the Avonex and some scar tissue that had built up from those injections. Today I'm back to my left arm. Still haven't heard anything about my referral to see the neuropyschologist so she is checking on that as well since that has been almost 2 months ans she said it would only be a xouple of weeks. I need it to be done for my ssdi appeal. Ok, off to go veg for a while I guess. Hugs, Peggy
