Guest guest
I went no mail on the list on July 1st as I was having surgery that day so am way behind in reading the posts. Today is actually the first day I have felt like even turning the computer on. It is great to be having a good day but I am not complaining. The good news is the surgery left me with NO cancer. Several inches of my colon were removed and all the nodes tested negative. I feel like it was a miracle. I have had a few set backs but at least these are things I will get over. First I got pnumonia and ended up staying 12 days in hospital. Came home and was not feeling well and running a fever off and on. A week ago I woke up with high fever and ended up in ER. My blood pressure dropped dangerously low and my sugar bottomed out. I had picked up a staph infection in the first hospital that was resistant to antibiotics. Spent 4 days in hospital and was allowed to come home and take the medications and have a visiting nurse. This medication costs 100.00 per pill and you take two a day. Fortunately my insurance covered it and the generic was only 1300.00 for 24:) I still have a hard time beliving the price but they seem to be working. I go in for lab work again tomorrow. It has been a unpleasant month but I am really not complaining. Being cancer free is the main thing. The visiting nurse has been a RN for 30 years and told me I am the first one she has seen that came home not even needing chemo.
