Guest guest
Okay, everyone, I've got an unusual coincidence that just came up. I have a non CHARGE daughter () who has a daughter with Cornelia deLange Syndrome (CdLS). CdLS is another syndrome that is rare and is diagnosed visually by the child's appearance and accompaning anomalies. recently got a phone call and met with a friend of hers that years ago had a CHARGE baby that died shortly after birth. This friend has a daughter that just had a baby girl that has CdLS. Is that a weird coincidence or what? (My daughter has a brother with CHARGE and a daughter with CdLS. This other girl had a brother with CHARGE and now has a daughter with CdLS.) Kinda weird huh? Now what I'm asking is, do any of you out there have a family connection to CdLS? It's just one of those, 'this is too weird' type things. There's probably no connection, but and I are both presenting this question to our seprate list serves. Meg, have you ever heard of this before? Thanks for any in put you might have. Smiles from, Baker - Mom to Jeff (19 yrs. CHARGEr), Steve (20 yrs. and serving a Mission in Brazil), and others married with children of their own. Guest guest
, that is fascinating. I keep a file of " interesting families " - yours is going in, along iwth Chris' (one child with CHARGE, one with Down syndrome). I have not heard of any conncection between CHARGE and CdLS, but I'll keep my eyes open. Meg > Okay, everyone, I've got an unusual coincidence that just came up.
