Guest guest
Hi Donna, Glad to hear your trip to Orlando was good! <<this polyp developed in just 7 months>> Wow - I don't think I have ever heard of polyps developing that fast! Guess he had better have frequent colonoscopies! <<His CEA has been holding at 1.2. It was 1.3 on Friday. I am wondering if the slight increase might be due to inflammation fromthe previous polyp removal. I pray that it will be back to 1.2 this Friday>> I don't think there is any difference at all in 1.2 or 1.3. There is natural variability in ANY lab test - both in the equipment used for the test, as well as natural fluctuation in the body. If CEA is really rising, you will know it! Would double, triple, etc., for example, 1.2 to 2.5 to 6.1. Changing by .1 is NOT significant! Sorry to hear about the low blood counts, but good that these treatments are almost done.
