<< Pete, how

are your eyes, what was going on?... >>

Hi Judi,

Nice of you to ask.Well about two months ago I was working out in the yard,

Had those garden gloves on, was pulling weeds and etc. Well I went to scratch

my forehead and stuck that dirty old nasty glove in my eye. It felt like

there was something in it so I got a q-tip and put water on it and cleaned

all around the eye.Saw nothing on q-tip or in my eye. Thought it'd be ok by

morning. It wasn't. That was like on a Thursday when it happened. I gave it

til Monday to work itself out . It didn't so I went to my dr. He couldn't

find anything wrong and said if it continued to see an eye dr. It didn't

improve in two days so went to a specialist two days after that. He said

there was nothing in it and it looked like it was infected. He gave me a

prescription for eye drops with antibiotics. 4 refills. Well I thought it was

getting better and all at once it started getting worse. like that feeling of

it being glued shut, and then it started getting blood shot, and more blood

shot. I was unbalanced and it was getting on my nerves big time. So I called

the dr. back and got into see him last Friday. One of the other dr.s checked

me ,(the other one was off that day) So he put a long name on it

like~~~~~nodular epi scleritis lol and gave me some drops he said had

steroids in them.Well my next question to him was,are these going to make me

hungry? He said they would not absorb into my body. And I have to go back in

a week. Oh man I hope this does the trick. It seems better sometimes, and

others not. So we just have to wait and see. Whew!! I Didn't mean to go on so

long. But there's the story.

thanks again Judi

Pete

Hi Judi,

Thanks for your input on the " results " of the terrible coffee debate.

If Kathie left the list because of something I said then I am truly sorry.

Gweeze all I did was agree with someone about drinking coffee and I was the

one that got bombarded with all the mail telling me how wrong it was, what a

BAD HABIT it was (oh please) that is was forbidden and whatever else was

said. I was like a robot not even of this world that night. I was up set

about losing my little friend, then to have everyone jump on ME for giving my

opinion was probably too much. I'm sorry Kathie felt it necessary to leave

the list, I liked to read Kathies posts. I've read Atkins book and well , oh

what the heck its all water under the bridge.I don't want to have to " walk on

egg shells " as you put it and I hope other people on this list don't feel

they have to either. This is the place to ask questions, share our thoughts

about how we're doing on this diet and to try to SUPPORT each other as much

as we can. I've met a lot of people on here that I can honestly say I love to

read their posts. You are one of them Judi, I think you have a great

personality and I bet you're a blast at any party. I think Sue is a great and

caring person and very knowledgeable, I like she had a lot of things to

add that helped me a lot. Then there's Bill and Terri, They are both very

helpful to all of us, Lyndia, has offered some great things, Liz has helped

me with things too. Just getting different responses from different people

are great. There's alot of information here to hear and I want to be a part

of it. If I said ANYTHING to ANYONE to hurt their feelings I'm truly sorry.

Pete† Hey Liz, Bill see that? here I'll do it again †

Please share Thanks >>

Hi Pete....It took 8 months, but....55 lbs went in the first 2 1/2 months....

The rest took 5 1/2months cause I was not being 100% " good " , but I have to

say I was 95% " good " but I guess that is not enough for me, it has to be 100%

in order for me to lose at that rate....I never cheated those 2 1/2

months, and I started right before Thanksgiving and also thru Christmas,New

Years,..............I ate every day for lunch, a salad; chicken,or tuna,or

shrimp, or seafood or turkey or egg, mixed with lots of HELLMANS MAYO(lets

not get off on this !)on a bed of lettece... Sometimes hot dogs..and I'm sure

other stuff but can't remember right now..I am a very easy person to please

when it comes to food tho...For dinner;a meat and some veggies with lots of

butter...For snacks I had pepperoni/provolne cheese,celery dipped in cream

cheese(I ate that every nite before bed...sometimes in

bed!........olives...After those good losing 2 1/2 months, I felt so good

about losing so much weight I added tomatoes to my lunches.....More

veggies...You know just not being as careful..I never used a scale so I just

assumed I was still losing weight but....the mind is a powerful tool, you'd

think I would have realized for 5 1/2months that I was not losing very

much!!!!!....ALos no exercise..Now I do tho...Judi

Hi Judi,

I'd say thats pretty good Judi, Wish I was that close to goal. Gotta get

busy on that treadmill and excersize. Yuk!!!

Doing some excersizing in the pool hope that counts. It's not making me

sweat though, suppose it helps even though I don't sweat?

Hi Pete..as you can see I like the highlighting of the e-mail we're

answering!...I'll get over it soon tho, I promise!...I have a pool also but I

haven't had a bathing suit on in over 5 years, hence no going in the pool..I

was hoping with the weight lose I experienced in the first couple of months

that I would be in the pool this summer, but no......But I will next

summer!.....Before I stopped going in the pool tho I used to do laps, I have

a fairly large L shaped pool, and I could really get going...Felt so good and

it is a good sweat free exercise!....judi
