Guest guest
I had orthoscopic knee surgery in 87 long before I learned of the AP. I got to watch the video that the Dr watched to do it. It was very interesting to see. It looked like a cave with stalactites except they were soft. The Dr just vacuumed them up. I could walk just find as soon as the anesthesia wore off. Of course what is wrong with yours maybe totally different than mine so it may not be so effective. However it started swelling again very quickly...at least with in one month and from that time on has continued to swell every 10 days. Sometimes it isn't very much and sometimes it is VERY swollen but ALWAYS every 10 days for around 3-5 days. Why?? no Dr has ever known. The last 6 months I have been on cipro and have noticed a great improvement in my knees. They still have their spells but they are only 2 or 3 days and in between......NO fluid. Before it was only part of one day that was Totally fluid free, if that. Usually not. Usually there was some but didn't really bother me. It is so inflammed in the right side to front that the back of the knee is also in rough shape. > >The ortho wants to do orthoscopic surgery and remove some tissue but I don't understand how that will help when it is the inflammation that is killing it. >Has anyone had orthoscopic surgery on your knee? If it doesn't let up soon I am going to have to go to the big guns of medicine and I never wanted to do that. Before the doxi I didn't ever think I would have to ( neither did my doctors)now it is a differnt story. > >The other day the pain and stiffness I had on walking or moving it left but went to my ankle .I felt like I had a broken ankle and had to use crutches for a day but the ankle pain let up comletely within 24 hours and it ran back up to the knee and has become stationary again. >
