Guest guest
P.S. My husband stopped smoking because I also have cystic fibrosis, which affects the lungs as well as other organs--NOT because I had MS, which he was also aware of. Love, to all; sorry about how the first post sounded! n --------- Prayers go up, blessings come down.... Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. As it looks right now, my grandbaby is going to be okay. He had an allergic reaction to some asthma medicine that the doctor gave him. But, they were able to treat it in time. He's going to be okay. Now.....if I could just get and her husband to stop smoking around the baby, he may have a fighting chance. May God bless you all....Val I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3rd 1:
Guest guest
No problem n~ Smoking may have not contributed to my MS, but I do know that it did effect it. Mostly during relapses. It's odd though, I stopped smoking and I haven't been in remission since. That's the illogical and negative side of me speaking. It is true that I haven't been in remission since, but I don't blame that on the fact that I no longer smoke. I blame it on my enviroment. That's another totally disgusting issue that I am currently working on resolving. I'm glad your husband loved you enough to stop smoking. Just like I love Tom enough to have stopped. And now days, who can afford to smoke? At what, $3.00 a pack? Think of the groceries you could buy in a months time. Guest guest
Val~Here in NY, I'm fairly certain I see prices like $5.65 on a PACK of cigs...not a carton! Prayers go up, blessings come down.... Guest guest
Good grief!!! And people pay that much?! Must be some good money in New York. Do you remember when smokes were .65 cents a pack? That was just back in the mid to late 70's. Uh oh....stop and let me off the bus...I was getting ready to go on another field trip.... Guest guest
Honestly, Val--it's true! I smoked also when they were a mere .65! Didn't I mention, when my MIL quit smoking back in the late 80's--she put ALL the $$ aside that she saved on all the packs she would have smoked...AND took that money and went on a cruise with my FIL!! What an incentive, huh? Another good one Val--this from a wee kid of only about 4 or 5--whilst trying to remember something he wanted to say, and he felt his mom had interrupted and made him forget: Mom! You derailed my train of thought! I LOVE that one! rofl! too funny! love, kate From: Val Lee To: MSersLife Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 7:47 PM Subject: Re: the smoking: P.S. Good grief!!! Guest guest
LOL, Not good money, just alot of addicted people in NY, plus if you go onto the Indian Nation land they have cheaper prices there because the state collects no taxes, yet, from them. So alot of people go there so they buy it by the cartons. Thats where my BIL goes for his, my MIL, and my SIL. My hubby quit quite a few years back. My daughter is allergic to smoke and I lost my grampa, my gramma, and my Mom to smoking so it's a big NO NO for me!!! Hugs, Peggy > > Good grief!!! And people pay that much?!
