While you are there ask about getting a wide piece of Velcro (strap) fixed in the ankle area. I felt like my heel was not staying in the heel of the brace and had them put this strap on there. I think it helps. I've been using an AFO for probably 7 or 8 years now. I wouldn't be comfortable without that strap going around my ankle. It's not pretty but that's the least of my worries.
