Guest guest
Hi, I was diagnosed May 20, surgery to remove the left half of my colon, repair a hernia, install a colostomy and a portacath on May 22, 2003, and am still waiting to start chemo due to my nonhealing incision. Now it has decided to fester once more so I go to the wound center tomorrow (I am in Maine) to see what will be done. At the time of diagnosis they had said aggressive chemo two weeks after I got out of the hospital, but then the wound decided to play games with me and not heal. I was told two periaortal nodes and the liver are involved, but I read somewhere that colon cancer grows slow so that is my only hope right now. I guess it is so I will learn patience. But I feel like I am gambling with time, and my life, leaving me depressed and discouraged. Charlene
