Guest guest
Hi there and welcome! I became unexpetedly pregnant at 7 mos post-op and I was 75% of my weight loss. I still wish I would have waited because it's been hard on my body and between surgery and pregnancy I feel like I have been " out of sorts " with my body for a very long time. I had a very bad morning sickness throughout the whole 9 mos (I am 39 weeks now) so I didn't gain much weight at all, I actually lost a lot in the beginning and then stabilized and gained back about 10-12 lbs later on. Sonograms were done throughout the pregnancy and the baby's weight was good, but I always worried that I wasn't gaining enough...that I wasn't giving her enough nutrients, etc...etc... I know that we as expentant mothers will always find something to worry about but I think when it comes to something we can control it's nicer not to have to worry. If I had it to do again I would have waited a little longer because I think my body would have been more ready, but I can't deny that I am happy to be having my first baby and all has worked out well thus far. God willing she will be born soon and will be healthy. Best of luck to you. ~Ann RNY - lap 09-00 Preop weight 265+ Post op Current (at 39 weeks pregnant) 144 Due date 01-10-02 Baby's gender: Girl Name: Kaarina Honor > im 4 months post op 60 pds lost...i was just curious to hear from > some of the members here. im not pregant but hubby wants to start > trying im concerned im not far along post op..i do want to have a > baby but think i should wait until im farther out maybe 8 or 9 months > did any of you have any problems with becoming pregnant at 4 or 5 > months post op? i know my doctor wants me to wait 1yr...but i was > curious how were your pregnancies were there any problems? also did > you gain alot of weight? or have issues with weight after the child > was born? thanks for all responses
