Guest guest Posted January 2, 2003 Report Share Posted January 2, 2003 Hi Everyone, Well, just finished a week at the beach (North Carolina)...incredibly relatives there have no local Internet providers so I have been almost completely offline during this time. Today I'm with those who are nearer to civilization, have a working computer & local ISP so not running up huge long distance phone bill LOL! Had a very good time, last few days have been warm & sunny, didn't even need a jacket for some of my walks on the shore. Yesterday I was watching these guys in the ocean...I don't know what you call this, but they had huge kite like contraptions they used while on surfboards, looked like waterskiing while being pulled along by a godzilla sized kite. Kinda interesting... Anyway, hope that everyone had as good a Holiday as I did...don't think I'm ready for it to end but nothing lasts forever....gotta do the final trip home tomorrow or Sat. depending on the weather...9 hours yecch!!! Hope to catch up on the new posts and such soon...for now I'll just say " Welcome! " to the new subscribers and " Happy New Year " to all!
