In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them. The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. For some reason, he thinks that when he's in bed, I should be there also, whether I can sleep or not. This is one of the reasons I have to take sleep aids every night to get some sleep. I have a problem just lying there wide awake, when I could be up and doing something. Didn't get back with you last night, as it was "bed time" for some people. God bless you. Love ya... He also sleeps on the couch. He HAS to have the back of the couch up against his back for support, and the TV on ALL night. But, the good news is, I'll probably still be awake when he has to get up and get ready to go. I'll be back on the puter after I clean up. Probably around 7 or 8. LOL. If I do get any sleep at night, I don't sleep more than 3-4 hours. I might be able to squeeze in my sleep. Maybe...
