Hip pain

Colleen,

And I thought, from Ronnie's and others' posting, that it capitalized on

another area. Oh. sorry, that was sciatica. My sore area is the neck,

shoulders and upper back. I have a burning pain there now, especially on

the left side, the one most affected. If I do some latissimus dorsi

muscle lifting, the pain goes away for a few days. Working the trapezius

muscles also helps. This makes me suspect that the muscles are weak and

it is not PLS, but lack of exercise. Helen says it helps her, too. She

does not have the muscle spasms, or knots, that she normally has after a

long day if she lifts. I'm not saying this is for everyone, but it works

for us and I'm the only one with PLS.

I do have a partial hip replacement on the left hip and it feels like a

knife is poking through my skin if I over do walking or lifting over 20

pounds. It has never shifted in the 8 years I have had it, though.

Don't know if this helps or adds to the confusion, but here it is in

black and white,

Mike
