Guest guest
The " treatment " today wasn't given, second in a row. So now, they start a shot (grrr, first week missed should have been I think)of Newprigin (sp) going in each day for one a day for a week, to raise the white blood cells. I would think missing 2 chemo treatments would extend the 4 on, 2 off cycle of the triplet given.......to maybe now 4 weeks on start and 2 off - not just 2 more on and then 2 off. Will see. Sure glad we are getting the second opinion tomorrow at OSU,.bit nervous about it all.....got all reports, and copies of all. Very informative, even if I can'd deciphure (sp!!) most of it!~ , what we need here somewhere is a chart to show what size things are in this 1 tto 3 mm or cc measurement style. Looked and can't find any, and/or some examples of comparing norm/mose freq. size first discovered. How common, etc. Good news, Bob looks good, his engery level is fine, and reduced pills due to less pain. (not lost much hair so far either, but least of our concerns)The onc. nurse said for this week he had to have a base line of .02 and he was .01 - but he gained 5 pounds back too. (wondering if a lb or 2 is fluid? Bad news is cancer is growing, spreading in these 2 weeks unsheduled off)and his CEA prior to any treatmennt was 32.2 and after the 2 chemos it was 16.2 More after tomorrow, Betty ps. , seen this site, http://www.webtie.org/sots/Meetings/Sarcoma/06-17-2002/Transcripts/15/ transcripts.htm and panels on drug Gleevec and liver and other cancers. Seen it? Saw your old post on Gleevec, but didn't know if you came across this. Did a search on " peritoneal studding " (found on Bob's report) and came across it. Guest guest
This should have been under good news, opps! )and his CEA prior to any > treatmennt was 32.2 and after the 2 chemos it was 16.2 > More after tomorrow, Betty pss: Ever heard of " Eating yogurt with live cultures (e.g., Stonyfield brand) is also recommended, to maintain the intestinal flora against the ravages of the chemo and the radiation. " ?? (seen on another bb and thought I'd ask, if this isn't asking too much of you, too often ;-)
