Guest guest
Hi Geeta. Wow! You're my first-ever friend from India. Greetings from Fort Worth, Texas to Bombay. Your name is lovely. I'm so sorry you have IPF but very glad you've found us. You won't ever have to be alone with this group's care and support. If it was your passion, I'm sure you were a wonderful teacher. I think you were brave to teach that age group! I'm also math-challenged! We have a number of ex-teachers on this board. We really have trouble attracting competent teachers in the US, because they aren't paid enough. There's also a lot of parental neglect in the area of education, a tragedy for which we are all paying the consequences. I'm encouraged that you've had IPF for so many years - that gives me hope for the rest of us, since all the literature is so discouraging. You were diagnosed for quite a while before needing oxygen. Would you perhaps be able to get out of the house more if you increased your oxygen? Maybe you're like me, where my sats drop no matter how high I set my liter flow. However, I'm just stubborn and determined enough to get out sometimes with portable 02. Perhaps you have other health issues as well. I'm glad you have an active mind to keep you busy at home, and a loving family. Do both your children still live at home? Mine are both a 3-hour drive away (also a son and a daughter). Thank you for posting. I'll look forward to hearing from you again. Hugs, Gwynne IPF 7/04 listed for transplant 3/07 Texas

Sounds like you've had a rough go of things, but it also sounds as though you have a very positive attitude which is so very important. > > I just started doing Yoga a couple of months ago and I LOVE it. It's definitely something pulmonary fibrosis patients can do as it is not very strenuous.
