Just a question:

To those of you who are pregnant, how do you do with MS? I feel better if I

actually vomit, but as you know, since our stomachs are so small, when you first

wake up, it's empty and I do the dry heave thing. I've started drinking

something when I feel sick so I will have something to throw up. Gross, I

know...but just wondering how you all were with it?

Jen,

I have been sick through the whole pregnancy, I have learned a few

tricks that have worked for me. In the morning I **don't** get up

until I have eaten something. I have my husband get me something to

eat whatever I think sounds appetizing and eat it slow and just rest,

then I find that I don't have dry heaves as bad. At first also, I

had to get several different kinds of toothpaste and use very very

little when brushing in the morning or I would vomit. Even now at 39

weeks all I have to do is think about vomitting if I feel off and I

will vomit, it doesn't take much.

In the beginning I was bedridden because I just couldn't get up out

of bed from being so sick all the time it got a little better but I

have been vomitting throughout the whole 9 mos.

Crackers didn't work for me but ice chips and frozen grapes did help,

also things with ginger I found helped too. Pretty much I just let

myself eat whatever I thought would work and tried not to worry about

it too much. I haven't gained much weight at all, but the doctors

have not been worried. They also said eating more doesn't

necessarily mean direct baby weight gain either..according to

sonograms she is doing well...but we shall find out soon enough.

Best of luck to you.
