I had Chicken Pox just before summer when I was 15½. Not fun stuff. lol It went into my throat, and my younger brother's. That hurts. My Mom had us suck on zinc, with a peppermint to help with the taste. It didn't help. Zinc is nasty stuff! ROFL Both my boys had Chicken Pox years ago. A neighbor with an infant asked if she could bring the infant over and have hold her so she'd get it. Insane. This was 's second time having Chicken Pox. His first was only a few spots around his neck, mostly. He didn't get them hard enough to develop immunity. That was okay, he wasn't yet two years ago. Six years old was easier for him to handle. LOL I'd done that with either Chicken Pox or Measles. I can't remember which. I hope gets over this quickly and

doesn't have too hard a time with the itching and discomfort, Trista. Challis cassandra workmn wrote: Ahhh.Poor guy. I hope is feeln ok. Is he reallyitchy? It's pretty much already gone. He only got about 20 spots, and the Aveeno w/ calamine dried them up fast.

I feel for you chicken pox isn't fun. When I was about 7 or 8 I got

chicken pox and brought it home from school. I am the youngest of 5 the

oldest got married when I was one. The second oldest lived an hour a way

and was sharing an apartment with another girl and working at the telephone

company and coming home on weekends. The other 3 of us still lived at home

on the farm. My brother was out of shcool and working as a flight line

mechanic at GE and my other sister(high school) and I were both still in

school.

Well , after I got over it and back in school , my brother and sister at

home got it as well. Then my sister that worked an hour away and got it.

THat saturday my mom loaded us all up in the car to go pick up my sister an

hour away to come home.

Mom got pulled over by a police officer on the way home, she laughed when

he let her go right away when he realized she had a car full of people with

the chicken pox.

My brother and sisters gave me a hard time about giving them the chicken

pox for years.

I had shingles about 25 years ago, man that really hurts.

I've never dealt with shingles. That seems much worse than chicken pox.

I love that story about your mom getting pulled over, with a car full of sick kids. ROFL! Very funny. A friend of mine was on her way to work one morning and she was feeling sick to her stomach. She started speeding so she could hurry to the bathroom at work. A cop pulled her over and asked her "what's your hurry?" She told him she felt like she was going to throw up and was trying to get to work. He was more than skeptical, as you can imagine. lol He told her to step out of the car. She did and then she thew up all over his shiny black boots! He backed away from her, shaking his boots trying to get some of the vomit off. He told her to try to drive more carefully and drove off. I LOVE that

story!hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects.

Serves him right.. lol..

I had one pull me over on the road trip back to Connecticut.. with two kids in the back seat and my cousin in the front.. Radar Detector attached to the dash.. I should have gotten a tremendous fine.. for the speed, the unregistered vehicle AND no valid driver's license..

But I had been home for a surgery my mother was having, and while here both license & registration expired (in CT, you don't "mail" them in like other states, you have to visit the DMV to renew them)... Well.. fortunately I had a hysterical 5 year old leaning between the seats screaming at the top of his lungs... "We're goin' to jail! We're goin' to jail!" and I really do believe his 13 year old brother was sitting back there too... whispering in his ear.. edging in on..

I'm looking through the mess in the console for stuff, and my cousin is looking through the mess in the glove box for stuff (both of us knowing were weren't going to find anything valid).. and the kid wailing his heart out.. Oldest looked around the seat and said to the policeman.. "Betcha wished you hadn't pulled us over now, huh?".. I could have died, and "I" started to think we were going to jail too!!!.. He just backed away.. told me to get on home and fix the registration AND take the radar detector OFF the dash.. LOL...

Kids sometimes said the bestest things and the rightest times too.. LOL

Yes shingles is much worse than chicken pox is. There is a lot of nerve

pain as well as a rash. The rash is over the nerves affected. The nerve

pain lasts for a while after the rash is gone.

I got mine one week while I was working in the yard. Called the doctor. We

all thought at first that I may have gotten into poision ivy. Nurse

wouldn't let me in to see the doctor till the next day. Even though I told

her it hurt worse than any posion ivy I had ever had. I was awake all night

burning and itching and in pain. Couldn't wear a bra at all. Calamine

lotion didn't even cut the pain a bit. I brought in a sample of the vines I

had been working around. I walked into the doctors office the next day and

the nurse took one look at me and reconized that it was shingles and not

anything else. She appologized to me about putting me off till the next day.

After that , I never had a problem with that nurse again. If I told her

what my symptoms were not normal for things I had had in the past she

believed me. I was so sad when she retired. A good office nurse is worth

their weight in gold.
