Hi All,

Just have another happy report. I ditched the cane over the

weekend. It wasn't an all at once deal, but gradual. Then this AM I

swam 1/2 mile and feel great! Not sore and was able to walk limpless

out of the place. That 1/2 mile was a real accomplishment for me. I

had to remember to kick my legs from time to time. I'd been in the

habit of dragging them. It was so cool to just keep going and going

and no pain even when I pushed off. You notice all those little

things. After the swim I did about 15 minutes of leg circles and

stretches. Still can't do the frog kick and get anywhere because of

lack of flexibilty but it's coming along, slowly.

Watch out ...Here I come! I remember drooling last summer when

would post about swimming. For all you wannabes...it'll

happen and yes it is fantastic!

One goal of mine is to be able to sit on the floor and actually get

up without having to pull myself up on furniture. Soneday.
