Hello ladies, I would like to introduce myself to you all and say

how happy I am to have found you all out here. My name is Marsha, I

am 31 and weigh 287 poundsat 5ft6. After months of praying and

research I have decided to have the surgery. I am sooooo

excited!!!!! First of all it will be so nice to finally be healthy-

I have diabetes and take insulin 5 times a day along with sleep apnea

and menstrual problems that are just to many to list. I also have

PCOS. I'm sure none of this is new to any of you. You are probably

sitting there saying yep been there done that. My health is to the

point that I am scared I will die of this weight and I want to live.

My uncle has had the surgery and has been a great support. My husband

and I have been trying to have a baby for 6 years. I was at the point

that I just couldn't go another round of fertility treatment, It

would just kill me every month to take the test and it be negative.

My goal is to get myself healthy and then see what happens. I keep

telling my husband I am going to go to Fredericks of Hollywood and

get bras and panties that match and maybe a thong just because I will

be able to. He just smiles. I have an appointment on the 21st to

talk with my Dr and then go through the process, we are thinking in

September for the surgery. I look forward to getting to know all of

you and hopefully being of some support when it's my turn. I live in
