I'm sure many think my attraction to Kylie was just because she's

beautiful and a great singer. However, while those things are true, I

also found a special bond in meeting someone who, not being up on

current entertainment as I should be, I didn't even know who she was

prior to booking entertainers but found out I had much in common as

she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 so understood battling

serious illness. She was dismayed that she hadn't previously heard of

PF and there was as of yet no cure, and overwhelmed by the beauty and

courage of all those who flew over. Why, we even shared that our

fathers were both accountants as was I.

Now, I'm not going to ask what Zena and learned from ny

Depp. But, I just became aware of one more courageous person, even

though her courage like ours came only because of being forced to

deal with a disease. Its a reminder that everyone here and everyone

you meet has a different story behind them. Just as I'm thankful to

have gotten to know her in cyberworld last night, I am thankful every

day to have gotten to know each of the persons here. As has

passed into the New Year and the others of us follow in hours, I'm

thankful that I enter the New Year with so many new and very special

friends.
