Guest guest
Mick, When I was on Metho I took the oral first and it upset my stomach when I first started it. So they were going to switch me to injection. It took FOREVER for my insurance to okay an injectable (other than diabetic) at home. It was to have been done in the muscle in the butt and it is tricky (or so I was told my by the nurse who taught my husband how and where) something to do with it not in the exact spot it can paralize the person. Luckily they switched me to Arava and it's been working okay so far. Good lucka nd God Bless to you Nancie --- Mick wrote: > Ok i'm trying to sound intelligent here when I don't > have a clue as to what > any of these means. > > I have to switch the Methotrexate from pills to > shots. Guest guest
Mike, I don't know. I shoot the injection into my thigh. If I can remember to ask my doctor next month I would like to know, too. I've talked to some who say you have to do it - IM- intramuscular-injected into the muscle So my doc says we will do it this way - SQ or SC-subcutaneous-injected just under the skin I'm a bit confused as to why we do it different ways. How come one doc would want you to use the Muscle and then another one says just under the skin? Does it matter? I mean i'd shoot the stuff in my ears if it would get rid of this RP! Thanks Mick >>
