Guest guest
Hi, Meagan's pic is now up on the Cystic-L photo section. Go to the K page and look under Kauffman-Jewell. I'm right before her (Kauffman) and if you click on my picture you get a family pic with Ken and Kailin in it to. http://www.cystic-l.org/html/k_photos.htm Also featured on the VERY important " K page " are Keller (right next to M.), K., and Fiona and Torsten. Lots of us have pics up in the photo archives now-- Kay & Kyra are under W, and are on the M page, as are Mo and andra (click to see the whole gang), catch Levi on the A page, and Felicia's on the B page. Hope I didn't leave anyone out. I sat down with Meagan this afternoon and went through the whole alphabet. It kept M. ammused, and I got to see what everyone looks like. We've got a VERY cute crowd of little ones! (Jennie, are you still working on Ron to get him over his internet publicity phobia?) SANDRA, Good luck with school starting and all. A busy time of year! I'll never forget how nuts life could get when Kailin was a baby and Ken and I were both doing the grad school thing. And you mentioned that being pretty forward helps you deal w. your pulm.-- that's what gets me in trouble, LOL! Our pulm. and I both have pretty strong personalities, and when we both think we're right, well.... TORSTEN, Wow, thanks for doing a little investigating and finding out that there really WAS a lurking pulm. on the list! Our little list is starting to get too much publicity. (See, Jennie....) It's too bad, because no matter how much anyone respects and likes their pulm., or ped., or nurses, or whoever, there are bound to be times that people just need to vent. (Okay, even if someone from our center WAS lurking, I don't think our pulm. would mind me saying we both have strong personalities; it's pretty self-evident, LOL.) MICHELLE (Josh's mom), I digest Cystic-L and skim it really fast. That way I keep up w. important new CF news, but I don't spend all day at the computer. I confess, though, I spend way too much time on this list. Hope Josh's sore throat turns out to be just a 1-day thing. I got Meagan's cold last night-- what's with all these summer viruses this year?!? Meagan is still MUCUS woman. Uck. BRENDA, Hope is feeling better! Last summer Kailin, Meagan and I all had neausea for a week after our we had our tonsils out. And no, we didn't all do the surgeries at once-- poor ken! We took turns, and my mother in law came out when I did mine. And I think it might have been me who chased away that lurking pulm., by the way. When you posted about the peds. lung list, I was making a bunch of comments a/b lurking pulms. on Cystic-L, and how it would be fun to lurk on THEM for a change. Guess that didn't sound very welcoming. But so what. I don't mind docs on the list, but it's sneaky not to at least post and say " Hi, I'm here; I won't post much, but I wanted to learn more a/b families dealing wcf... " or something like that. SUE, You've been quiet. I hope M's problems this week haven't freaked you out. Remember, genotype is only half (or less?) of what counts. I really think M's not being as capital-M " Mild " as we'd like because of her severe case of RSV as a baby, her considerable asthma, allergies, and her history of bad sinus/ear infections (make that constant, where the sinuses are concerned). All that stuff has to take a toll on the lungs. So just remember, though our guys are genetic CF twins, symptom-wise, they might end up not resembling eachother at all. I'm personally hoping both M. and Kenzie take after , on Cystic-L. Now THERE'S someone w. R117H that's MILD :-) Hope all's well with Chase and Kenzie. Hugs! BRIAN, Speaking of kids w. R117H, are you out there? How's Jordan doing? bye, , mom of Meagan 4 (cf, asthma) & Kailin 6 (asthma)
