I'm glad is taking his time and only doing things as he feels comfortable with it. He's the only one who knows what it feels like to be inside of himself and if he doesn't feel he should/could drive right now then he shouldn't. I know no one wants to see him do the fancy driving that ' just did or that his own Grandma did on the road he would be traveling every day. Cool! If it would make him feel better, and reduce the insurance cost, you

might consider a driving course for him; I just took one and my insurance

rates dropped by 50%! GOOOOOOOO! !

He's been taking Trileptal since September and it's working great. made an appointment with, and saw, his Neuro several months after that seizure to discuss driving. Being three months post-seizure, he was cleared to drive. )

That's such a shame and how hard it must have been for your family. I'm so happy that he is ok.I can only imagine how scared and anxious he must feel. He must be so scared that he will have a seizure while driving. I know that's what I'd be thinking. Does he now take meds to control the seizures?I know from personal experience how much easier it is to give up than to fight. It's especially hard when you don't even have the support of the people who are supposed to love you the most(his father). That's a hard pill to swallow.Does he see a therapist who can help build his self esteem and confidence a little bit? I hope he can overcome this obstacle.
