Guest guest
Hi ...Dr.Buckner is doing research and there is no cost to us...Pete went to see her and had the blood drawn there but I believe the package should include instructions re:mailing...Isn't it prepaid?...Others in the group have sent their blood in...hopefully they will respond.Janet

I'm sure there are instructions (I just can't find them)lol Too late in the day. I'm sure my dr can instruct me as to what to do also. Thanks again. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, I have done this. She pays for everything and your doctor will have it shipped off as soon as the blood is drawn. Just be sure and read the papers that came with it. I think you have to have blood drawn on Monday -Wed. or Thurs. When you call your doctor about this, be sure and tell them what it's for and that it has to be shipped Air Express. If your doctor charges you anything for drawing the blood, Dr. Buckner will either reimburse you for those charges or your doctor can send the bill to her along with the samples. My doctor didn't charge me since it was for research. Hope this answers your questions . If you have any more, I'll be glad to try and help. W. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: RCColloran@... From C I just received a packet from Dr. Buckner to participate in her study. This kit included vials to have blood drawn in, airborne Express envelop and some, consent form, and information sheets for myself & dr to fill out. Has anyone done this before? Does the lab ship samples to her? How is this paid for (insurance etc)? Would appreciate any info you can give me. Thanks.
Guest guest
Thanks for the info on Dr. Buckner. My rheummy is in research, he runs trials all the time(unfortunately not for RP yet) but I don't see him until April 18. Do you think this is too long to wait? My reg dr. isn't much interested so I'd rather go through rheummy.
Guest guest
I just went to my GP to have the blood drawn. You won't get the results back anyway, so if you don't want to wait that long to have the blood samples taken, call your GP. Just explain what is in the letter and once they see the letter and everything that came in the packet, they shouldn't have a problem with doing the blood work. I believe Dr. Buckner's phone number is also included if they have any questions about this. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: RCColloran@... Thanks for the info on Dr. Buckner.
