Guest guest
Hi everyone!! I would just like to thankyou for all the help and suggestions you had given me. I am sorry I was not able to get back to you sooner but my daughter was admitted to the hospital the next day because of the tramendous amount of gas she was having during her feedings. Unfortunately we are back home with no cure and no answers why but your suggestions have helped me get on acidopholus. I am not thinking that it will solve all her problems but I hope it will make her alot more comfortable to eat. We have also changed her food to neocate +1 but she still has tones of gas. I told the physician about your sugestions of the yeast overgrowth and they wanted me to find out what type of test was performed to diagnose the yeast overgrowth and was there any type of treatment. So if any of you could help me with those answers that would be great. I go back to the hospital for a GI followup on Thursday it would be nice to give them some ideas. So for now I have my daughter on continuous feeds again at the rate of 32cc/hour. It is just killing me to see her so emobile she just wants to play all the time and with continuous it is so hard. Well hopefully it will resolve soon. Around what age did your childrens gas start to fade or get better. Well I better go and tend to . I hope to here from you soon. I hope all is well with your children because they all are very special...
Guest guest
As an adult, I was diagnosed with yeast overgrowth by a holistic doctor thru non-traditional methods. She used applied kinesthesiology plus other methods that I don't really understand. In any case, there was no traditional medical test. My regular doctors had not figured it out after several years of visits and tests. The symptoms I was having were " cured " after changing my diet for many months. Now I'm back to eating all the junk I used to eat without the symptoms I was having. I don't know how you find a holistic doctor to trust with a medically fragile infant. It's one thing to try something non-traditional myself. It would be another thing to try it on a child who can't explain how and if it's helping. Guest guest
There is no one test to diagnose systemic yeast, it is more an understanding of how yeast operates and looking at the overall symptoms. The pediatric gastroenterologists here in Tucson understand this as well as the alternative health folks. For Dylan the big symptoms are the gas, gas so strong that you plug his tube in to bolus him and the gas explodes out, x-rays have shown his entire intestines filled with gas, so bad that they were pushing his lungs out of place. He also will often have a very fruity smell to his breath, at first we thought it was indicative of a sinus infection, but now we can tell that it is yeast. You can find books on yeast like Candida Your Life, by Apple-A-Day Press. Kim mom to Dylan 7 CHaRGE, Kayla 12, Tyler 15 > Hi everyone!!
