Guest guest
From: C Ronnie, So sorry to hear about your hospital stay. Hope it's nothing serious. I've had a lot of GI problems. Inflamation of the stomache and esophagas. Must be careful with meds and certain foods. Hope you get to feeling better this weekend. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Guest guest
, do you think the drugs you take for RP has caused any of your GI problems? Since, I never had this type of problem before I am wondering about the meds we take. Guest guest
Ronnie, C here. Meds have always bothered my stomach, but I think its worse now (must be old age)lol I'm sure the Meth and Pred bother it. I take Prevacid(?) for my stomach. What meds are you on? Mine was really severe, they said the medicines did it. Then a while back it happened again and they did another scope and the doctor said it was the RP doing it and that they may have to go in there and cauterize everywhere it is bleeding. That pain is horrible. I pray you are feeling better soon. Please take care. Love you Lu
Guest guest
Glad you're feeling better Ronnie. Hope they can figure out the reasons for this too. Keep us updated. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: Ronniegrl@... Hi, everyone. Well, our plans to go to Georgia were spoiled when I was taken by ambulance to the hospital Thursday Morning. I woke up about 2:30 AM with extreme abdominal pains so severe I could not move. I vomited so many times by the time I was picked up I was vomiting bile. They kept me at the hospital until last night about 7:00 PM. I had a lot of different tests done. A GI Doctor did a test where he looked into my stomach and took a biopsy. He said I had gastritis and after testing the biopsy I should know something. I will make an appointment with his office in about two weeks. Has anyone had experience with this type of pain? Wondering if all the medications I am on could have done this. Anyway, my stomach feels better and I am happy to be home. I have missed all of you. Guest guest
So srryto hear about yur pain and hospitaliation. On at let two occasions I too wa ken o the hospital wt extreme abdominal pain and onstant vomiting andwhen there was o liquidleft, the dry heaves. The first hig they did was put in an NG tube although unpleasant, they tld me it would hepstop he vomiting, and it did. They gotmy stomach settled, did tess etc. on one occasion after a few daysthey sent me home oly to be readmitted a coule of dayslater with the same problem. Id have to get into the records t get mor information on that hospitalizatio. On anoher occasion, i went n wit he vomitng etc pain,,, after a few days my dctor was getting ready to discharge me when y husband saw my pulmonologist in he hall at he hospitl, and mentioned that i wasin thehospital and wouldhe vist. he didthe nextthing i knew i woke up afer a 5 day cma. Seems during the vomitin I aspirated adn developed severe pnemnia that alsmot killed me. I do remember they id gi tesscolonolscopy i had internal leeding and tey saidi did nt have an ulcer, thati had tracts in my stmach--i actuallyhave pictures of tese. rtuately after 2 monts in the hospital i did rcver. Yes i do believe the meds did helpcause tis. so leae do not let vomitng or abdominal pain go untreated. do not mea o scar youbut I have come to realize that I have to take pain---anypai seriously and not dismiss it. no matter how little it seems. I tell the dctor and keep a personal log. sincerely denise
