Guest guest
Guess I'm in the minority here...hubby and I are the same age. OK, well...truth be told...I'm older...by 2 months! LOL! On another topic: I know we've gone round and round on this thread. BUT...I've got another question for you ladies... I'm 18 weeks along now. Haven't gained at all. In fact, have lost ( I think it's five pounds, now) since conceiving. Have had zero morning sickness, so I can't blame it on that. My OB is not concerned, so long as I'm eating ok, and baby is growing ok. I've been reading some preggo type books, and the conventional wisdom seems to be to add a serving from this or that food group by a certain point in your pregnancy. Honestly, I don't track my food intake that scientifically. I eat when I'm hungry...and I am a snacker. I make sure to choose my foods wisely...cheese, fruit, veggies and whole grains. I do eat meat, but it's not the main event since surgery. So, my question for you ladies is: do you simply eat when you're hungry, or do you have a " diet plan " you follow? Thanks for the feedback! in California
Guest guest
, I lost in the beginning too. I followed the same philosiphy as you and ate when I was hungry trying to make healthy food choices. I am now at 34 weeks and have gained about 12-15 pounds, depending on when I weigh. Everyone is different. I know some people on this list gain more nad some a lot less. As long as your baby is growing I beleive that he or she will take what they need from you. Guest guest
if you are confident that you are listening to your body, that is the best thng you can do. If you are lying to yourself, than maybe a plan. But that is goal I think many of us aspire to and as long as you are making healthy choices it sounds great to me. As for conventional wisdom...did we have conventional surgery???? Lenore Old Men...and eating for two... Guess I'm in the minority here...hubby and I are the same age.
