Guest guest
Sorry, Bruce - Leave it to me to spoil the surprise... but I was too excited to wait. We all know about Bruce's penchant for longevity in his posts (not that mine are exactly brief!), but conversing with him in person is very pleasant and totally reciprocal (no problem of getting a word in edgewise with our perfect gentleman). He looks healthy as a horse and younger than his years. He was able to remove his oxygen during lunch, the lucky duck. He's as warm, friendly, and accessible in person as we know him to be online, except more so. We had a delicious lunch and decadent desserts - I'm having a bowl of cereal for dinner - and If he hadn't had a long drive back home, I'm sure I would have made him stay for at least another hour or so. It was an excellent Christmas present to myself. Of COURSE we talked about the rest of you. How could we not?! Yes, Peggy, it did feel like I was meeting up with a long-lost cousin. There's no question that there's an instant bond and easy familiarity among us with this disease. And soon, Bruce will be visiting the transplant center where I've been for the past three years to check it out and make some of his informed decisions. Who knows, we could end up on the same waiting list one of these days. Hugs and blessings, Gwynne IPF 7/04 listed for transplant 3/07 Texas
