Someone has had their insurance cover it though I'm not sure who. If you

continually get rashes or what have you under your stomach and have your

doctor document it, etc..it should be covered under insurance. This is

just what I've heard not that I'm at that point yet.

I have heard some people say insurance will never cover it and other

The military, Tricare insurance will cover a tummy tuck... not sure about

anything else. Dawn B.

That's great!!! I am a tri-Care patient. Are you military as

well? My hubby is Air Force.

Candi; we are stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas, I am having my surgery done

in Topeka, Kansas at St. Francis Hospital.... where are you?

My brother had plastic surgery of both the front and the back. The

insurance covered the front, because he had some other problems

(hernia and overstretched facia). They did not cover the back. He

is currently appealing that denial, because he has a broken coxic

(sp?), tail bone, and he needed the padding to cushion the bone. (He

had no butt).

So, it seems that insurance will cover the plastic surgery as long as

you can come up with a medical reason. He had Aetna Insurance.

My friend works for Humana. They will cover the tummy tuck if there is at least

a 5 inch flap. I'm not sure aboutmy own insurance, i haven't checked into it

yet. Every policy is different.
