He said people are abusing that and as long as i can walk he won't sign for a power chair. I see my neuro tomorrow i'm gonna ask him to sign for one. Also just a word of caution i think i remember a post with sending you his number. Well i talked to him a few times and then he started scarring me, use your judgement of course. Guest guest Posted July 22, 2003 Report Share Posted July 22, 2003 Sharon, Thanks for your concern I now have an appointment with the doc tomorrow morning and another interesting twist to this you know how they say is a wound is itching its healing well mine has been but maybe not healing in my case. I was going thru my drug interaction sheets today and just happened to notice on there on the warnings to not use silvadene cream if you have had and allergic reaction to Septra DS/Bactrim DS well guess what the last antibiotic i had an reaction too was Septra DS so bad it sent me to hospital into anaphalactis (SP?) so i'm wondering is it helping or hurting the situation so i'm seing one of the docs tomorrow. I went and had my MRI done and it wasn't an open MRI but however it was with /and without CONTRAST i've never had one with contrast. This one should be so much better even better than the last one i had done in november last year. I forgot naturally while i was there to ask for a copy so they are mailing me a consent so they can mail me a copy of the report. I'm sorry any of us have this aweful illness i just found out yesturday there is a lady just 12 miles from me has this illness, i'm gonna phone her today and even ask her if she would like to join our group. I understand the part of wanting your life back, cause i have said that many times. I was diagnosed in 1990 with biopsy of lymph nodes in my chest. But symptom wise i think i have had it a lot longer. There are days i just wanna quit, no more doc,meds,tests, etc. But i have to keep trying to fight this thing and not let it win. As long as you have taken any steroids within the past two years you need to mention it to your docs along with when you last took them and what the dosage was. Sure send me your meds. I dont know if any of these meds will recombine with any of the anestheasia drugs to cause problems which is why its so important to give the list to the Anesthetist/Anesthesiologist. Also need to add on when and dose of steroids. I hope you are keeping an eye on your blood pressure. The Vioxx is known to elevate blood pressue. Thinking of yo. Guest guest Posted October 4, 2003 Report Share Posted October 4, 2003 Thanks Shar, Yes I keep this list in a small spiral notebook in my purse when i go to the doctors they all make copies and i keep it up to date and everybody knows what i'm on I'll be glad to get my medicine tomorrow my antibiotics and prednisone when corrina goes to work. She works at walgreens pharmacy so she picks up and gets my medicine for me sometimes i may not get it on time. I noticed today i'm running a low grade temp. Oh well. I am supposed to be on a Zpak and taking a high dose of pred for about a week. Thanks for your help. My PCP told me no to wait on surgery and i won't have to be off of methotrexate for 6 weeks then he said he will talk to the neurosurgeon......I dunno.......confused????? I'm so pathetic 40 years old and can't live alone i'm sorry but the loneliness is a night mare. I never make any demands on anyone i always keep to myself unless invited God i'd do anything than to be sent back there alone. At least i have until the first of the year here with Corrina she promised me that. God i'm shaking so bad. I wasn't asking her for a lifelong commitment of living with her i'm sure someday soon i would meet a guy and then i'd be ok to move on or if not that a suitable room mate. I know i should have enough faith to let God work it out cause i know he can, but i'm scared of Janruary coming and having no one to be with me. Guest guest Posted November 2, 2003 Report Share Posted November 2, 2003 Thanks Jeri The only reason i know is because i have never had to be alone before i have always had someone there to be with to talk to to love and hold me comfort me or just talk and i am just so freightened to be alone, i got the apartment determined to be brave and tried my best, but with this illness and anxiety meds you tend to sleep alot of the time away well i even got myself 2 kitty cats cause i love kittys but that just didn't fill the void i was and still am going to church as much as before and praying as much if not more now i guess now i have to wait for God to work it out in his own time, but that terriofies me to just hand it over to him and trust him as i know i should trust him cause i know he is more than able to fix any situation. I don't want to be this way i wish i could be strong and not feel like everthing is being turned into a thousand knots. But i'm working on it, talking with friends, my pastor, and trying to do something about it and in the mean time i'm trying to take care of my health. Many of you hve given me insight and i appreciate it and maybe i do need an adjustment in medicine. Thanks for everything Lord, let me let you Lead me! We all get to a place where we feel that we need someone to hold us thru this journey. the level of holding you are asking for is one that takes a professionally trained therapist to do. i'm trying to take care of my health. Jan, for you to best honor yourself, and if you want to bring your faith into this-- to honor God, then you need to get to your MD and get a change of medication. You need to see a Therapist and work thru this self-worthlessness issue. i do need an adjustment in medicine. WOW! IF YOU TAKE THE MAYBE OUT OF THIS-- YOU SAID YOURSELF-- YOU NEED THE ADJUSTMENT IN MEDICATION. Jan, my speaking so directly may feel hurtful and insensitive. It would be more insensitive for all of us to continue to enable you to stay in the place you're at. You seriously need the help of professionals. You can make the choice as to whether or not you seek help. Having Faith and trusting in that Faith, means taking responsibilty for where you're at. If there is a medication adjustment that can be made, then you need to make the appointment. If it's counselling that you need, then you seek counselling. Prayer works when you put ACTION behind it.
