Guest guest
Ok....I'm not going to be able to compete with the walkways and other features of some houses, but I'll put where I do my postings against anyone. In my living room I have a sectional sofa that consists of seven units, 4 of them recliners. Now, as I sit right now, I am reclined. The television is directly in front of me. I can look out the windows and see the trees and the path along the creek and in the daytime people walking and walking their dogs. Now, you're probably figuring I'm using a laptop. Nope. My Monitor is on a cart with very large casters so it rolls easily and my CPU is attached underneath. My internet is wireless so no cable there. My keyboard and mouse are also wireless. So I'm sitting with keyboard in my lap, mouse right beside me and a 32 inch widescreen computer monitor (actually its a tv too, but use it only for computer) just in front and to the right of me. So, I can recline, watch tv, see the scenery outside and easily see my huge monitor all at the same time. And, if I don't want the computer and monitor there it easily rolls and I can use it anywhere in the house. Favorite room? You mean other than the bedroom.....lol > > > > May > > > > Love your new walk. Haven't had a chance to check out your > neighborhood, YET. I will though. Guest guest
Now, I might've guessed you'd be a highly organised POSTER Mr Bruce...a veritable KING in his Castle! My laptop mostly lives in my study when it's not travelling...my study is dubbed the 'Womb-Room' 'cos it's an internal room with one window opening out into our 'Sunroom'..I've got a long Tropical Fish tank set up out there so I can look out & rest my eyes from the computer screen...get the 'long view' as recommended by my eye Doc! Beyond the FIsh Tank is a long Sliding Window that looks out on to our little Rainforest along that side of our house. (That's the window the carpet snake came in looking for a feed in the nearby Finch's cage!) I've got lots of books n' Treasures from the UK in here...it's Music Central where I put on 5 CD's at a time & they get piped through the house on the dodgy speaker system i set up all by myself by crawling around under the house poking wires up through the floors, yonks ago I did that. I'm dreaming of replacing all that with better quality sound! I LOVE music all day long! My Study is my HAVEN & I spend heaps of time in here! Cheerio, in Oz > > >> > > May> > >> > > Love your new walk. Haven't had a chance to check out your> > neighborhood, YET. I will though. Guest guest
Sounds beautiful. I think essentially we've accomplished the same, creating an environment that is pleasant and comfortable for us. All the changes I make I think ahead to the time I won't be as mobile. I'm also looking for some wall treatments for my living room. Over the fireplace I want a tropical beach scene, maybe sailboats, but I want to feel like I'm looking out on a calm sea from a beach or island paradise. > > > > > > > > May > > > > > > > > Love your new walk.
