I believe that Armour is thryoid HORMONES - extracted from dessicated pig thyroid - nowhere on the isocort label will you find that it says ADRENAL HORMONES.....I went on a months-long quest to find out the truth about how much cortisol isocort contains, and I found nothing to say - from a reliable sorce - that it contains hormones in an aprecaible amount...for years while I could not get Armour I took a couple of products that said dessicated pig thyroid, but it did not contain hormones - said so right on the bottle...same with adrenal glandulars - yes, the cortex is the part that contains hormones, but I have also taken other glandulars with dessicated - freeze dried - adrenal cortex..these have all helpd, but do not think hold a candle to cortef. But I found isocort was helpful - if it helps, it helps..if not, get something stronger. If it has the same amount as 1/2 a cortef - then why is it not prescription? And why won't Bezwecken comment on this? Others seem to disagree...but I just wanted to give my opinion, since I researched this for a good 6 months last year.
