to all on the list, i am feeling quite annoyed right now, i just got my

denial for my reconsideration of social security!!! they said that my hearing

is only " somewhat impaired " !! can you believe that? thats like saying if i

cut off half of someones leg their ability to walk would be " somewhat

impaired! " those bastards, well next step is in front of the administrative

law judge.......wish me luck. (thanks for letting me vent, and if anyone has

any hints on how to make my next appeal favorable for me please, please let

me know. thanks again. :)

Dear - When Pete applied for disability it took 9 months and he finally

got okayed because of tests that were run by a doc from Columbia Pres Hosp in

NYC--you might try contacting the American Disability Act people--I believe

they are on the internet and also Pete belongs to the American Deaf

Association(Ithink thats what its called)..There are also lawyers who

specialize in disability and will not charge you anything unless you get

it---and it is retroactive..If I think of anything else I will post it..But

don't give up, I think that's what " they " hope you will do

Janet..............PS Pete did not get disability based on RP but because he

went deaf and has no balance response.

...get a lawyer......that's the only way I know how....They turn people

down because they think you won't persue the matter...Go for it...don't give

up....Take care,

do you have an attorney working with you. Sometimes it takes them to

get things going. also try writing your congressman and really give it

to him and beg for help. Have had patient's who did this and it help

speed up the process.

I wonder if people will really ever understand what we go through. It's

not like we want to be disabled. It's hard enough having this to deal

with then also adding the red tape.

Keep your faith and determination and when you go before the judge keep

saying huh? until they bring someone to help you or bettter yet insist

they write what they are saying because you can't hear enough to

understand!! Maybe that will get it through their heads what is really

going on.

Good luck!!

My son has bladder reflux, but I am assuming its a totally different thing

to a distended bladder. What are the symptoms?

Does she have or is getting any infections relating to this? s all

started when he was weeing and instead of it all coming out it was

overflowing and going into his kidneys, but he had also picked up a little

infection so the infection went into his kidneys and caused scarring.

Thankfully once we treated the infection the bladder reflux disappeared.

Please call your doctor (bariatric) right away. I didn't have

anything like what you're experiencing, but it sounds like your doc

should know about it.

Please let us know how you're doing.
