Guest guest Posted September 26, 2005 Report Share Posted September 26, 2005 Dear and members, I read all posts every day but seldom post because of the fact that I don't have many positive results yet. I started a MAJOR flare at the beginning of August. I've flown to my dr.s and even the emergency room. I've been "getting by" on upping my elavil and taking a prescription painkiller..tylenol w/ codaine. The codaine knocks me out...can't function at all..just zoned out on the couch. I made it to work today, but it was just a blur. The pain is so horrific..vaginally and rectally,,I just stood there and directed my classes activities. My gyn. won't really see me again until I get to a colon/rectal dr. next week. How did you get them to get you into a hospital for three days ? I really feel that I should be there so they can knock me out and do the rectal exams , etc. I went to the emergency room, had an advocate w/ me...I was doubled up ,crying, etc. They sent me home w/ yeast medication and the codaine.They told me to go back yo my primary physician. On my previous flare-ups I would get some relief sometimes at night. I could function a little bit. I'm not so lucky this time.
