I must be really weird......or have weird taste. I love the Atkins

shakes, and several of the bars. Of the bars that I don't love, I

can tolerate them.

dwen (who if the truth be told probably is weird)

Just MY opinion mind you....

I've tried several of the Atkins products myself (bars

and shakes) and i

agree with what seems to be the consensus....they are 'yucky-paatooey'

(LOL!!

can you tell i hang around with lil ones all day!?!?!) I

would think the

'KING' of this WOL...Atkins himself would make his stuff taste

edible!

As shakes go, I like the Atkins chocolate and vanilla ones. I always flavor the vanilla with Davinci syrup. I also don't mind the chocolate peanut butter or almond brownie advantage bars. Do I love any of them or do any of them come close to the real thing? Are you kidding, no way. Are some of them totally inedible - YEP. Pardon the comparison, but I'm not sure throwing up isn't better than a macadamia nut advantage bar. Blech! Have I been contented to have the shakes and certain advantage bars in the past, yes I have. Am I still content with them? No, not really. But they do serve a purpose and we all have different tastes, right? Are any of them as good as that Snicker's Easter egg I got this morning? Nope. Did I eat it?

Are you kidding, I'm not making that mistake again! I gave it to my sister so she could get fat!

you had me going there for a minute. I was afraid that you

might have given in. Thank goodness you did the right thing (well,

you could have given it to your worst enemy).

There is a bag of Easter candy about 5 feet from me. I won't mention

all the things in the bag, but you get the idea.

Well, I'll have fun fixing baskets for DH and DD.

None for me!!!

LOL too funny! I like the Atkins stuff because it's ok, and I usually can

keep out of it. I

don't dare keep purely delite chocolate around!

Dwen, I have to say the fact that it was snickers made it easier for me. I am one of those rare people that really isn't all that fond of snickers. Now, if it had soft caramel in the center or if it had been a Butterfinger, the results might have been different. The funny thing is that when I brought it to my sister, I did so because 1) I know she LOVES snickers and 2) she tried Atkins once and couldn't stick with it because she doesn't like salads, doesn't like veggies and isn't a big meat eater. She lost 10 pounds on induction, but just couldn't handle the restrictions. As she put it, "On WW you can eat anything you want, every thing has a point value." Sounds just like the ad, doesn't she? Well, then let her have her point value and gain weight and Mom can ride her instead of me! LOL (Terry are you sure I can be an honorary sister? How about you Kim?)

From what I've head about some of those LC chocolates, it's a darn good

thing I didn't have that around yesterday. I would never have gotten out of

the bathroom the way I was wolfing it down! LOL

I haven't tried the shakes, my cousin like the vanilla and she's picky, but

I am borderline between like and can tolerate the peanut butter crunch and

the praline crunch.

I think she's talking about the Chocolate Mocha Crunch. They are very good I bought a whole box of those and the Chocolate Almond Brownie bars. I love them.

Ohhhh, I haven't heard of those...are they really

good?

Irene

I really like the Atkins Chocolate espresso Crunch

bars and the Chocolate Raspberry bars :-) But beyond that, well, naaaah

hahahahaha

Opps, sent a blank message. Sorry. I agree..you

think that Atkins could produce a good tasting bar.

Some aren't too bad....but some...YUK..I got the

cranberry ones...don't taste any cranberry here. Only

4 more to go. I'd try giving them to my 12 year old

son but I don't think he would eat them. Maybe I

should try the grandkids...lol. Oh well I probably

shouldn't be eating them anyway.

Hey, that's what I do with the chocolate... a little extra cream,

ice.... it's great!

Wow, Kim, it's great to hear you are as welcoming as Terry because my sister

might disown me when she gains weight from the chocolate she was so happy I

gave her!

You got that right Jean. Sunday night I had 3 pieces of sugarfree candy

and I got such bad cramps I thought I was going to have to go to the

hospital. I had to stay very close to the bathroom too. LOL

You are a cruel woman, Terry! You could have at least made it with Almond

so I could pretend it qualified as low carb.

Atkins products are something you should probably try out for yourself. It seems everyone has a different opinion on them. I absolutely love the bars but only 3 of the flavors (almond brownie, mocha crunch, and banana colada).....the pre made shakes are good (in the can) but I've never bought the mix and bought one myself.

I was wondering which Atkins food products you can recommend and

which you've tried and didn't like? Also, has anyone ever bought the

Zone prepared meals? If so, were they any good?
