Hello All-

I remember you all just had a discussion on stuttering, but don't still

have the posts. I know it is common for apraxic kids to stutter, but how long

does it last, what causes it, and how do you help it? Also, how do you help

your child when the longer senteces are all one big word? His SLP is trying to

get him to talk slower, but he is just 2 1/2, so he doesn't always do what she

says. Thought I would ask you all for tips!

Thanks,

Has everyone heard of the new device that you can put in your ear and it stops

stuttering instantly? Has anyone with an apraxic kid tried it?

I have not been very active on the list, however, , my 4-1/2

year old son is stuttering a lot now...especially at the beginning

of the sentence. So, I hope this is consistent with apraxia. I

hope this is short term! Kim

but has come a Loooooooooooong way) anyway, I am now noticing that

she stutters a little some times at the beginning of her sentences.

Is this typical of apraxia? If so what might help get her through

this phase? Thanks, Diane
