Guest guest
Peptides so I read are small proteins. Casein, a protein in milk, is one that has opioid properties which means it has opium like properties that key into opium like receptors in the brain and the nervous system. The following article talks about a study which suggested that opioid peptides (casein in milk and I will add my own contribution here--in gluten) MAY PLAY A ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND REGENERATION of nervous tissue. " Thus, opioid peptides were shown to exert a strong growth-promoting effect on nervous tissue in culture. This effect is dual: in neurons the peptides stimulate the outgrowth of neurites and their survival, while in glial cells they change the rate of their migration and, probably, their proliferation. It is suggested that opioid peptides, besides their already established functions, MAY PLAY A ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF REGENERATION OF NERVOUS TISSUE. " (My all caps) http://www.enzymestuff.com/discussiondairy.htm Vestibulitis, the condition of severe pain in the vulvar vestibule (and I suspect in other genital parts like the clitoris), has been shown to have extra small fiber nerves in the vestibule of women and has been assumed to be why there is so much pain. I have been trying to convince people for years that there is a connection between vestibulitis (and other vulvar pain) and gluten and dairy products. Voila! Here is an abstract about Vulvar Vestibulitis and nerve proliferation which has been believed to be responsible for the pain of Vestibulitis as the small nerve fibers are so increased in that tissue and nobody to my knowledge has ever connected drinking milk or eating gluten which are both opioid containing foods to this pain. I have been saying it for years but here is an actual connection. YAYYYY!!!!! (I think!) (I am reasonably sure) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=9\ 540943 & dopt=Abstract The only three foods that appear to have opioid peptides are dairy, gluten, and some yeasts. I can't find any more but there must be. Girls, stop eating dairy and gluten if you have genital pain before it destroys your whole nervous system. Here is proof to me that the stuff likely causes the pain of vestibulitis with its nerve proliferation. (Certainly it causes more than that).
