Guest guest
Hi Deb Yes, the Centrum Chewables are great Even better, I've found, are the Bariatric Advantage vitamins. All but the iron are chewable and they taste great! (although they taste much better when sucked on as opposed to chewed) Taking my vitamins is like a treat now Check out www.bariatricadvantage.com (and nope, I don't work for them) Caroline Lap RNY 5/2/03 367/288/150 My WLS Journey: www.tinyurl.com/bkld > I found and was told that this is a Great Chewable Vitamin to take > after my surgery Centrum Advance Formula Multvitamin has everything > and only would have to take one a day.Sounds great to me.Plus don't > taste bad too Orange flavor.13 Vitamins and 10 Minerals all in > one.The only thing might need is the Vitamin B12 shot which I was > also better then the tablet under the tonge. The cost is cheap 9.00 > for 50 tablets. And also found a Whey Protein Powder that was around > 12 to 14 dollars a big container. Not to bad and in chocolate.I hope > this helps someone whom can't afford to spend alot.God Bless and > Have a great weekend and Labor Day.a friend debkroll of Iowa. Guest guest
I bought my vitamins from Wal-Mart. They had a good vitamin called One Source Active Kids Complete. It's got 18 grams of iron and it's only about $6 for 120 pills. I have to take two a day, but that's not bad. Also, go to Puritan's Pride. They seel vitamin's and many times they have a buy one get one free. The prices aren't bad either. I bought chewable calcium tablets and got two free. Give it a try. Walmart that is..lol I dont work for them either, just seems i find so many things. If you need a sublingual vitamin B-12, i found one there. You hold it under your tongue for 30 seconds. It is not the best tasting, but not as bad as the liquid pain meds after surgery :D. I am suppose to take one a day, it seems alot to me. The bottle says for every dose it is 20,000% of your daily allowance. Anyone else know the dose they are taking?? Anybody find a chewable Calcium Citrate?? I found a chewable Calcium Carbonate. I think i should just take that until i can find the citrate. In the hospital where our support group meetings are held and surgeries are performed the woman that heads up our bariatric division sells a special calcium citrate completely absorbed just for bariatric patients. Also an internal body deodorizer among many other things. Lori - MI Open Distal RnY 8-1-03 -30lbs Wolfie Post-op Surgery-August 27,2003 Dr. Lee A. Guest guest
Hi Lori Check out www.bariatricadvantage.com for a GREAT calcium citrate chewable. They come in both mint and chocolate, and I just love sucking on the chocolate ones They also make a GREAT tasting sublingual B-12 as well as a great chewable multivitamin. Their iron, while not chewable (yet), is really easy to get down because it is very small in size. Hope this helps Caroline Lap RNY 5/2/03 367/288/150 My WLS Progress: www.tinyurl.com/bkld > > > I found and was told that this is a Great Chewable Vitamin to > take > > > after my surgery Centrum Advance Formula Multvitamin has > everything > > > and only would have to take one a day.Sounds great to me.Plus > don't > > > taste bad too Orange flavor.13 Vitamins and 10 Minerals all in > > > one.The only thing might need is the Vitamin B12 shot which I > was > > > also better then the tablet under the tonge. The cost is cheap > 9.00 > > > for 50 tablets. And also found a Whey Protein Powder that was > around > > > 12 to 14 dollars a big container. Not to bad and in chocolate.I > hope > > > this helps someone whom can't afford to spend alot.God Bless and > > > Have a great weekend and Labor Day.a friend debkroll of Iowa.
