Which is mainly convenience and dosing. Cortef is short acting and has to be taken 4 x a day at a fairly regular schedule. Prednisolone can be taken once a day...it lasts 24 hours. And then I realized that for what folks are using it for...as a support for the adrenals for a temporary period of time...that it did not make a huge difference in the fact that it was synthetic.
