Dear Cap'n

Don't count on it... he told me 12 months!

Re: Share the heat ...

Although he hasn't said yet, I'm hoping on my 6 month visit that Dr

Mont will say its OK to have sex now, cuz I'm getting a bit ornery!

6 MONTHS !! It s/b ok after 6 weeks !! Don't wait for him to tell you ... ask

him when. That was my first question postop :-) Then ask her to be gentle

Yes ... it is possible to cuddle .. spooning is another story ... it's a weee

bit harder to get real comfortable.

Capt'n

I was only kidding about having to wait 12 months... as I'm sure you knew. But

I guess that you didn't know that Sinai has a brochure on " Intimacy after Hip or

Knee Operations " . I wasn't about to leave the hospital without all the

important information that might be available!

I also asked Dr. Mont about it and was told " Wait until two weeks after the

staples are removed. " We lasted slightly less than one of those weeks! And

that was pretty astounding. If you're actually gonna wait 6 months... what's

your wife gonna do? ;- )

I think Richie was something like 6 days PO when he was already bragging

about his xual expoitis, if I recall his posts correctly...

at two weeks PO most of the tenderness should be pased for those of us young,

strong and willing enough to try but wouldn't recommend for someone with any

specific complications (i.e. bone cysts to protect)...

at any rate, you should listen to your body... but be careful which part is

talking loudest ! ! ! ! lol
