I received this letter, as an attachment, in an email from my PT.

There are not enough PTs who specialize in women's issues such as

vulvar and pelvic pain. For those of you who have had success,

perhaps you would like to send a letter expressing the need for more

PTs in this specialty. There is a need for feedback from patients as

well as PTs

Dear Sir or Madam:

Greetings! My name is Chelstowski and I am a Physical Therapy

graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am working

in conjunction with Dr. Jill Boissonnault and the Section On Women's

Health Task Force on Specialization on submitting a petition for

specialization certification in the field of Women's Health Physical

Therapy.

We are presently asking support from physical therapists not

practicing in Women's Health, non physical therapist health

professionals, and members of the public to speak to the issue of

demand for Women's Health Physical Therapists in the healthcare

community. Our aim is to document that there is a significant and

clear healthcare demand for physical therapists that are certified as

specialists in this realm of physical therapy care.

We would be extremely grateful if you would be willing to write a

brief letter speaking to the demand for such specialists from your

personal experience with this issue. If you feel you would like to

support us in this endeavor, please mail your Letter of Support,

including your signature and credentials, to Dr.Boissonnault at 3225

Conservancy lane, Middleton, WI, 53562, or FAX it to: ,

attention Dr. Jill Boissonnault.

Thank-you so much in advance for your support in this matter! If you

have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me, my email is

rrc@....

Best Regards,

Chelstowski SPT
