I had a hearing today with MCARE (the HMO the University of Michigan uses)

to appeal their decision to deny covering pelvic floor pt, they have

already voted I am sure, but I won't find out for a few days, so pray it

was the right one...Anne

p.s. Has anyone had success with Physical therapy?? Any experiences you

could share would be helpful, I have tried elavil, imiprinine, paxil, and

neorontin (just for a few weeks with this one) and nothing has helped so

this may be my last effort before asking for a referrel to Haefner to look

into surgery

I had some success with PT, reduced my pain by about l/4. Is your pain

solely pelvic floor related? Mine isn't.

You don't say whether you've tried estrace or testosterone topical creams.

Have you tried topical prudoxin, or topical amitryptilene or topical

neurontin?

Just a few thoughts

Topically I have only tried the 2% lidocaine jelly with no results, and

then last week the 5% ointment that really irritated the area, so I plan on

looking into compounding, my doctors havn't suggested anything else, I have

mostly vestibulitis, but since the 5% ointment the minora lips are

irritated with any touch and I'm afraid it might be getting to be worse

than my normal vvs, Anne in MI
