Guest guest
Thanks, this is very interesting. I see the Dr Friday and will see if she agrees to cutting the beta blocker. Did your pulse get so fast. Mine was 120. It has been higher than that but that was when thyroid was too high. It is a scary phenonmenon. I have not given up the food plan as it was working. But I may not do the salad lunch as that was what I did when it set off. Thanks again. It feels good to talk to someone else who has had this trouble. I was very thirsty. But it might be because of the sugar I ate-----trying all the cures. I know when I was on the low carb and had this, I needed to get lots of salt in. Guest guest
Except for that one occurrence my blood pressure has stayed normal and normal pulse on the full beta blocker. I take a minimal dose. G
Guest guest
Beta blocker was prescribed to slow the already fast pulse. I would think it had something to do with it. G
Guest guest
Good advice Susie. I get it that it is not the Beta Blocker. I was not taking a Beta Blocker when this happened in the past. It was on the days I cut carbs as much as possible and the heart would race and the blood pressure drop and I was on an Ace inhibitor. The diet place recommended salt. Nothing seemed to help. I will keep track of the blood pressure. I have had two heart echo tests that are normal. Too much thyroid also made the heart fibrillate and race and skip etc. Very scary. Thyroid scares me now. I only take 1/4 of a .25mg synthroid. Dr says I must take some. I am skeptical. Since, the cardiologist said I must not. My GP said it was not able to be controlled in dosage and to just skip it. This new woman says take it and is adamant. G
