My energy is down due to just starting on a new way of eating, and being restricted to the clear liquids. I was cleared yesterday to begin adding items. I plan to take it slow, since I don't want to push my luck. In the jail where I work we do twelve hour days. We may not leave for meals, so the county supplies our meal for us. last night was pizza night. I had chicken broth with a bit of bread. I had to appreciate the irony of me, the great lover of cheese and passionate eater of pizza, sitting but a few feet away from a banquet, eating my paltry supper. Fortunately, they also provide a nice variety of breads, a relatively nice salad bar, lots of fruits and fruit juices. I shall find the changes challenging, but probably for the best. An alcoholic friend once told me that you only get so many drinks in life, and she had drunk all of hers by the age of thirty-five.
