Guest guest
Hi, Lori! I've had great success just mixing the OptiPro with just a spoon. http://www.nutrisportonline.com/index.html The vanilla caramel and the strawberry are excellent. If you'd like some samples, you can send me your address off list and I'll send them to you. :-) Protein shake question hi family! who makes their shakes w/out a blender or mixer? i'm asking because i'll be out of the country for a few days & am planning to bring along prot powder & i guess a tupperware thingie & want to just shake the thing. too much of a drag to travel w/ a blender. which brand(s) blend well manually? thanx! lori h. re-starting shakes, it's been a while:-)
Guest guest
Hi Lori, If you are going to do shakes for just a few days to get back on track, why don't you try the premixed ones. I use Myoplex Carb Sense or Low Carb. It comes in Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. I adore the chocolate and strawberry, even though I'm not a strawberry person. Just keep them cold. I like them over crushed ice, my fridge delivers it that way so it's easy for me. At WalMart a box of 4 shakes is $5.50, a little more expensive than the powdered stuff, but I think well worth it. Have a good trip! > hi family! who makes their shakes w/out a blender or mixer? i'm > asking because i'll be out of the country for a few days & am planning > to bring along prot powder & i guess a tupperware thingie & want to > just shake the thing. too much of a drag to travel w/ a blender. > which brand(s) blend well manually? > thanx! > lori h. > re-starting shakes, it's been a while:-)

Guest guest
thanx michelle. yeah, i have some EAS low carb ready made drinks in the fridge. i'll have to come up with a way to protect 'em in my suitcase. & yes, i'm doing the " getting back to basics " or " 12 day cure " , i'll keep you all posted. don't know if the hotel overseas has Internet access. lori h. <funmomof2@a...> wrote: > Hi Lori, > > If you are going to do shakes for just a few days to get back on > track, why don't you try the premixed ones. Guest guest
A word of warning ... be careful with pre-mixed protein. If it comes in a can, it's probably got MUCH less protein than the label reads (especially for the sugar/fat content). Myoplex Lo Carb is recommended. Just make sure it's the Lo Carb version and NOT the EAS Myoplex Carb Sense (this is a low quality hard to digest version of Lo Carb mass-marketed for discount stores). If you do buy prepackaged, it's advised to buy it in flash packs (the cardboard versions of prepackaging) as opposed to aluminum cans. Here's a good article that talks about protein, quality protein and what to be leery of. http://www.catherinewilbert.com/healthy/article1102.html Hope that helps, Re: Protein shake question Hi Lori, If you are going to do shakes for just a few days to get back on track, why don't you try the premixed ones. Guest guest
Hi Lori I found GNC 100% Whey Chocolate to be the most tolerable protein mix yet. The powder mixes thin and non-lumpy. When I travel I get Ziplock snack baggies and put a scoop of powder in each baggie (I fill up enough to last my trip) and take a shaker cup that I bought at GNC. When it is time for my shake I use 8 oz of bottled water and powder from a baggie in my shaker cup and voile, instant shake. Out of country, huh? Do I smell a European vacation? OH, HOW I DREAM.
