Guest guest
Hi its been a long time since I have posted. I have a question, who is 6 is going in for a sugar tollerance test. I have asked the doctors and no one has told us what to expect. Should I feed him that morning as he has to take his seizure med. Will they put in an I.V. or will they draw blood out of seprate sites or will it be a finger stick? They said it will last 3 hours. He knows he is going to get stuck. Will they let us use amilla cream to numb the site? Do we just sit and wait for his blood sugar to go up and will it come down on its own? Iam a little worried as I just got his blood sugar stableized 90% of the time and if it drops to low he starts a seizure and if it goes real high he gets headaches and just isnt with it it wipes him out and he just lays. I dont know wich one is worse high or low. Any info would be appriciated. They did an ac1 test and I dont have the results but they wanted us to still come and get this bloodwork done they called to make sure we would be there when I asked about his results they said they would go over it with me after he has his 3 hour test so Iam thinking they must have found something. We finally got him in with the new nero and she had an ac1 test ran and was disgusted that the other nero and ped didnt have it done. Thanks for nay help.
