Enzymatic Therapies makes one of each kind...one is raw glandular and the other has things such as licorice root in it. the Isocort has no licorice root...but I would suggest going to the health food store and looking for adrenal support products and reading the labels. Pantothenic acid is really very important for healthy adrenal function.
Guest guest
What kind of adrenal support DOES contain licorice!? Clue me in, so I can stay away from it! I don't need any more BP problems. The adrenal spoort preparations which contain such things as ginseng, panthothenic acid, astragalus, etc often do contain the licorice root. The only advice I can give is read the ingredients before purchasing. Nutri-meds does not contain licorice, standard brands, I don't think contains it either...nor does isocort. Licorice root is also known as glyczzerin (sp?) and has WAY more of the important ingredient (the root) in it that regular black licorice candy you buy. Guest guest
I read that what you buy in the us - the candy licorice - isn't truly licorice, and contains no real licorice!! I was surprised!
