Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, I don't understand how having your home could affect Medicaid. I was told by the local office you could have one residence and a vehicle and they don't count against you. I am on the medically needy program which is for people that have a higher income than would qualify for Medicaid but have excessively large medical and pharmacy bills. I get all my meds paid for one hundred per cent as long as the total is more than $990 a month which is no problem mine was almost $5000 last month. Pester them at Medicaid as they kept telling me there was no program to help me for years until someone at a hospital told me about this program and they couldn't refuse to try and qualify me for it, it is the law! Most states have this program some under a different name, I am in Florida. Felice
Guest guest
Jeannie, I don't know if this will help you but I used to take amitriptyline to sleep at night and it never did any good. I was like you, getting no sleep for a long time and then finally crashing. The only medication that I'm on that seems to be working is the one at night to sleep. It's a different anti-depressant called Lexapro. I'm on the lowest dose, I started with only a quarter of the pill, now I take half a pill and I sleep a little bit better. Just thought I'd mention it, maybe you can ask your doctor about it. Lori
Guest guest
I dont understand either im so sick of being told no im fighting SSI, Medicaid office and w/c but will only be a yr in june im just so frustrated and hurting and depression because doing hair was my life and im so darn good at it. I feel worthless and i dont sleep even taking my amitriptyline doesnt help me sleep. Ill go two or 3 days no sleep then i sleep for a whole day then im back to 3 days no sleep im tired worn out and disgusted. I dont understand how anyone can have so much pain and be told no that we cant help. Maybe one day it will all come into place. And i have the most wonderful man in the world weve not been married yet 3 yrs and he has stuck by me threw anything even when he lost his job he assured me we would be ok. Im so affraid one day hes gonna get tired of all this. we moved into separte bedrooms so he could sleep. Ive lost all my drive for passion. Not good being a newly wed huh. Guest guest
Good advice, Felice. Try to hang in there, Jeannie. I know it's hard but if you bug them enough they can steer you the right way.
