Guest guest Posted July 5, 2003 Report Share Posted July 5, 2003 Hi Edith I took solumedrol 1000mg per day x3 days IV then titrated down with prednisone.Solumedrol is a steriod too. They gave it to me at Cleveland Clinic when they thought I had MS. I kept waiting for that burst of energy I had heard about only it never happened. I got so weak I thought my number was up. That was when the MS doc sent me to the neuromuscular doc there, Dr. Pioro and they said I had possible als. So in my case at least prednisone had a bad outcome.
